2015 SEASON

After a seriously dry second half of 2014, December brought us to 185% of nomal. The rain fell in short instense bursts, with high winds, flooding the vineyard and downing a huge waterlogged oak in Dorothy's block.

January was about the driest on record, and it was mild, provoking early bud burst. Another cloudburst dumped in February but April was fairly dry, measuring about 1/2 inch one day toward the end of the month. Continuing mild night temperatures prompted us to bring the wind machines in for the season. Bloom started early and was in full swing by May 1. The rest of the season was mild and dry, and early. All of the fruit was harvested and delivered by September 7 with perfect numbers.
