2002 SEASON

Cropped in 2002 at 3/4 ton per acre with small, loose clusters from healthy, balanced vines, the fruit was harvested starting September11 through October 10, 2002.

Vines were pruned in March, 2002 to one vertical cane, (a one year cane off a two-year spur) and the canopy spread to a candelabra shape. Buds burst March 21. One early deficit irrigation limited cane growth. Careful irrigation was applied especially before summer heat spikes until fruit reached physiological ripeness.
